Step 1. Determine your eligibility to join PLGIT.  

PLGIT provides services to boroughs, townships, incorporated towns, school districts, cities, counties, municipal authorities, and other local governments in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. If you are unsure whether you qualify, complete this questionnaire and send it to us for evaluaton. 

Step 2. Adopt a Resolution.  

Membership in the Trust requires action – the adoption of a Resolution – by the governing body of each prospective investor. Due to the passage of Acts 80, 81, and 82 of 2019, which relate to the requirements of participating in intergovernmental cooperation, most PLGIT eligible entities should adopt a Resolution to become a member.  If you have any question regarding the proper method of becoming a member of PLGIT, please consult with your Solicitor.

(Procedures may be slightly different for home rule municipalities, which should check their individual charters.)

Step 3. Fill out our registration forms.  

Complete the  Account ApplicationNew Investor Application (if this is your entity's first PLGIT account), Permissions FormContact Record, and complete a  W-9 Form. If you desire check writing, please complete the  Check writing Authorization Form and Check Order Form. Forward the completed forms with a copy of your resolution to:
