Act 10 of 2016 was signed into law on March 25, 2016 and expands the list of permitted investments for all local governments, school districts, and municipal authorities in Pennsylvania. PLGIT has followed the legislation closely since is was first introduced in 2013 as Senate Bill 1207 and is well prepared with enhanced liquid and fixed-rate investment options tailored to fit the guidelines of the law. The Pennsylvania Local Government Investment Trust ("PLGIT") has entered into a Plan of Reorganization (the “Reorganization”) to consolidate certain portfolios and reorganize certain share classes. As a result of this Reorganization, effective August 1, 2020, the existing PLGIT/I-Class shares were renamed PLGIT/Reserve-Class shares. PLGIT/PLUS-Class shares merged into PLGIT/Reserve-Class shares. The PLGIT/ARM Portfolio merged into the PLGIT Portfolio, and PLGIT/ARM shareholders received PLGIT/Reserve-Class shares.
